Burnham Park
This tourist attraction in the city is
primarily considered as the heart of Baguio City. It strategically sits on a
32.84 hectare vast land. Significantly, its central location makes it as one of
the most highly-priced real estate, in the North. Historically, this park was
designed by a premiere American architect and urban planning guru, David
Burnham. It has a man-made lake with for hire rowboats, which lead all the way
to the Burnham Lagoon. Rose Garden has been built so that people can see a nice
view when relaxing . Burnham Park has the naturally blissful Orchidarium. Burnham
Park features the awesome “Pine Trees of the World “. Incidentally,
“The Mother of all Parks” in the Little America of the Philippines, has
showcased other areas of economic and cultural development like the Session
Road, the Baguio Cathedral and the widely-known Baguio
City Market, which were built within this park of prestige and elegance.
Moreover, the park has graciously retained the unparalleled legacies of David
Burnham. So, its designs and architectural layouts have remained to be
untouched, up to this very day. However, there are few added features that
exemplify the genuine creativity of the Filipinos in general. Thus, making it
the recreational center of Baguio City.
